We have been bringing our employees one-time events and workshops (I attended a workshop last week at where the speaker gave tools on mindset and goal setting). Great workshop but it was a one-time event and there was no time given to practice. She is not the coach for these employees, she’s not there with them in the trenches to understand what they’re facing. She isn’t familiar with the opponent, she hasn’t studied their plays so that she can strategize the best way to win against this team. Just as our employees don’t have the space or time during the workday to practice the tools and methods I am offering. We will never win games, and they will continue to be sick. The practice has to take place on the field…at work, and there has to be an ongoing practice, supplemented by their individual passion and desire to get better and be healthier.
